Chapter 10

Lewis Mumford once said, "in the state of building at any period one may discover, in legible script, the complicated process and changes that are taking place within civilization itself."
30 years later, a sociologist, Ruth Glass characterized a city as "a mirror...of history, class structure and culture."

Architecture and design of buildings are extremely important. We look for things to be both fuctional and attractive.

For this chapter, I would like to share some buildings around the world which are both of these things. I will be showing you them from the past as well as the present.
